You’re such an inspiration — giving me hope for act two, eventually … hope the adjusting goes smoothly for you.

Thanks Colleen! So far it's a good act!

So excited you’re here! I can answer one Q: I didn’t get mirrored-inside medicine cabinets when we did our bathroom because I, too, thought it was silly. (In our rental there was a mirror over the sink and no medicine cabinet at all.) It turns out it’s actually really handy to be able to peer at yourself while applying lotions and potions that you store in the cabinet without closing said cabinet! I ended up sticking some very flat ikea mirrors to the inside of ours.

Good hack! Mine has a mirror outside, inside, and behind the shelves. If I angle the mirror right, it's like a Rockette kick-line of infinite Q-Tips.

I applaud your restraint on the IKEA octopus as I fully caved and impulsively bought it…

My kids will be very jealous!

The second I saw that pile of golden octopi, I decided I must have one!

Once you are settled in we MUST meet for a drink! I’m even willing to cross the Charles to do it.

Liz Gumbinner's avatar

I am in! *I* will even cross the Charles.

You will love Boston! It’s our third city and I am a new empty nester. Feeling this big time.

Liz Gumbinner's avatar

Happy to hear that!

Hi ... that's a great read. Having moved to new sleep/work from home digs myself, I can relate. I'm missing a part of this story - I may have missed some postings; so, congrats on the teaching gig, but 'what are you teaching?' and at which school? Cheers, Mark

I'm an Associate Professor of the Practice / Advertising at BU College of Communication -- also my alma mater ❤️🐾

Thanks. If you teach the way you write, I expect your classes will be both popular and will teach humanity along with techniques. Best wishes for your continued success. Cheers, Mark

Congrats and best of luck with everything! (p.s. that stickah is perfection)

Isn't it though? Hey, it got them an IG follow from me so it's effective advertising too.

Love it. Go back for those ikea octupuses though.

Liz Gumbinner's avatar

Hey, it's on my mind. I just think I've hit my in-store hours quota for the quarter so it may be a bit.

Oh, wow! Big adventure, in so many ways. Enjoy!
