I am sitting with a glass of Sancerre with some Brie and crackers enjoying this beautiful piece about sweet peonies growing in "upstate" NY, a place I miss so much here in the suburbs of Chicago. I can feel the love and family names these blossoms recall. Along with the beautiful colors, I feel relaxed and wrapped in a bouquet of beautiful flowers. and memories. Thank you Liz for sharing these moments! Now on to Brooklyn...which I enjoy too.
Like music, flowers in the gardens of our mothers and grandmothers, leave lasting memories. For me, peonies are my late mother and iris are my angelic grandmother. The sweet and precious memories abound.
This is truly beautiful. Thank you. You perked me up
Magical. 🤩🤩🤩
That's a wonderful family story and kind of an awesome "step-father's" day gift.
Will this go at the beginning of your book? Or more toward the middle? Because you are so ready to make a book. It’s gorgeous.
I love this so much Liz! ♥️💋🌸
I love this so much. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Beth!

This is my favorite thing you’ve ever written. 🥰

Now I want brie. Thank you Lorette!
Lovely post. We'd be happy to share our flowers, too.
They are always beautiful!
This is so sweet 🌸
Again, a flowering account; as lovely as you and the beautiful peonies.
What a beautiful piece. And here’s to great guys named Chris : )

Thank you for sharing your family with us.
Love that. My daughter is a big fan of irises as as well. Something about a flower that only lasts a day or two really makes you treasure it.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story of Chris and your family peonies, Liz. You are all so lucky to have each other and the flowers.
I feel it too. Thanks Lora.
