I hadn’t seen your handy bullet post which distills why I am voting for Kamala Harris down to something possibly more easy to read. Last night I briefly got sucked into an exchange with a woman I don’t know from my parents’ hometown- she’s 15 years older than them but called me a fool for voting for Kamala repeatedly and I was just supporting her because she was a woman (despite laying out all my reasons, first and foremost because I am concerned about gun violence in schools and supporting public education). Thank you for the resources in this post!

Of course! So glad to help. And her comment makes me wonder -- isn't she just supporting the other candidate because he's a man, then? Does she not see any qualifications besides "woman?" Does she only perceive the Vice President, former US Senator, former two-time state Attorney General, and former DA of one of the largest cities in America as some woman with nothing to offer? While the former game show host and failed businessman is somehow qualified? Because wow, does that says a lot more about her.

Yeah I feel like she was only repeating Fox News points, which is about par for the course in their rural town in upstate SC. I just ended with #VoteBluetoSaveAmerica.

So tired of the HATE...this was a great post. I too get lost in the outrage. Thank you, Liz, for the links that focus on the issues which affect absolutely every voter or a member of their family.

Like I said, the outrage can be cathartic and even fun -- but it consumes us. It's not healthy on top of everything else!

Great points. It’s easy to get emotional and play into the jokes. The issues are important and if we continue to talk about them that will receive the focus.
