When the four kids were younger, and we came together throughout the year from the different places we all lived, Jon brought a tradition to the table.
It is my custom to forget all the bad things and only remember everything else. Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the friends and family with whom you are celebrating. Spend the rest of the year celebrating with everyone else. The others, back away from them.
I love this and I’m working to acknowledge gratitude I have in real time. You are an inspiration in this space and that boost means a lot. I’m on a learning curve to get the words/observations/feelings out of my head. I say this as I watch my family play scrabble and it fits.
Happy thanksgiving! You're right, we seldom remember the bad things if we are really ever grateful. That's such a sweet memory of your kid. Enjoy tonight!
Just like Laura Scarborough, I read this first thing in the morning along with my coffee. That way, the tears flow neatly into the cup and no one is the wiser. I have been grateful for you every day of your life. Even when you didn't notice.
We have tried many versions of this over the years: Goods and Bads, Roses and Thorns, etc. but a visiting friends recently introduced "High, Low, Buffalo": The buffalo is something that surprised you. One of my kids misheard it as "Gruffalo," so that will forever be our way of doing it now!

Amen to all of this. You have always been wise. Happy happy to all of the Andersons ❤️✨
The first thing I read this morning while drinking my coffee was this. A good way to begin my Thanksgiving Day.
Thank you, Liz!
