Oh my God, this is an amazing list. That idea to put a note on your calendar 30 days ahead is smart! I should do that! ALSO: this year, our family gifting went with the theme “Thrifting, Regifting or Homemade.” I came up with it as something fun and young-adult-budget-friendly. It was a major hit, brought out our creativity and was so heartfelt and silly and awesome. Totally low-key, ie “homemade” could be a hand-written note. I’ve also taken to cutting up old clothes and sewing them into little gift pouches. This sounds hard, but it’s not, because I don’t know how to sew. I just cut a rough rectangle, fold it in half, stitch it closed, and thread through some yarn for a tie. People LOVE the little lumpy re-giftable pouches and it makes whatever’s inside even more of a gift.
